It’s Not Better to Look Good, Then to Feel Good!

Many people don’t take their health very seriously. It’s all too often about how the clothes fit, or winning a contest, or just trying to look hot. That’s not your health. We do crazy diets, take untested supplements and even drugs, just to look better. But we don’t get yearly physicals, or blood work tests to see what we are really doing inside.

The best way to health, is exercise and real whole food nutrition. And of the two, nutrition is the most important. It’s what your body uses to repair and grow, to make you the best you can be. You will also look your best when healthy.

Here are just three famous body builders that used steroids to look better and win.

Mike Matarazzo is one of the well-known bodybuilders of all time . He died on August 16, 2014, in Stanford hospital in Palo Alto while waiting for a heart transplant, age 48.

Greg Kovacs died on November 22, 2013 at midnight, in his Mississauga, Ontario  from heart failure, age 44.

Andreas Munzer was a professional bodybuilder from Austria. On March 12, 1996, he started bleeding internally from his stomach. When the bleeding was stopped by doctors, his kidneys and liver were collapsed. On the morning of March 14, 1996, the bodybuilding world awoke to the devastating news of Andreas’ death, age 31.

And here are several famous stars that died from using illegal and prescription drugs, to look better and for fun.

It’s obvious that staying off as many prescription and illegal drugs and untested, unproven supplements as possible is the smart way to health. As Paul wrote in Corinthians 6:12, “all things are permissible, but not all things are beneficial.” It has been shown that eating a well-balanced whole food diet can correct many illnesses. Maintaining a proper weight will drastically reduce wear and tear on your joints, heart and other internal organs. You’ll also sleep much better. And when you have an injury, you will rehab faster. With proper nutrition, you will see fewer colds, flu’s, headaches, missed work and school. For the kids, better performance in school, fewer illnesses, happier kids.

When it comes to supplements:

  • Federal law does not require dietary supplements to be proven safe to FDA’s satisfaction before they are marketed.
  • For most claims made in the labeling of dietary supplements, the law does not require the manufacturer or seller to prove to FDA’s satisfaction that the claim is accurate or truthful before it appears on the product.
  • Dietary supplement manufacturers do not have to get the agency’s approval before producing or selling these products.

If the product has a nutrition label, as Juice Plus+ has, it is a whole food. FDA says it is safe and a food product. (charlesbaerman.juiceplus.com)

In conclusion, please take the time to learn what you are putting into your body. It’s what you are made of. And love your life enough to take care of your health and future. Remember, if you are healthy, you will look good as well.
